As your constituent, I write to ask you to respond to Representative Smith from Texas about the DREAM Act, HR. 1751 and S.729. His recent write-up on the DREAM Act published here (http://bit.ly/dBBB8X) contained blatantly false information.

As a Florida resident I want the Representative to know that several institutions of higher education across the state support the Dream Act and it is time to put student interests first.

Representative Smith’s comments on the DREAM Act are misguided and add nothing positive to the discussion. It is time to clear up these falsehoods and provide real answers and solutions for DREAM Act-eligible youth around the state of Florida and country.

I appreciate the support you have showed immigrant youth in our district by co-sponsoring the DREAM Act. I ask that you to take another step in standing up for immigrant youth against lies and misinformation.
