President Obama, Bring Ceferino Home!

Call Rep. Lofgren at (202) 225-3072 and (408) 271-8700

Sample Script
: "Hi, I am calling to urge Rep. Lofgren, as a longtime immigration reform champion, to ask President Obama to exercise his discretion and allow for the DREAMers to come home. I think she should support these kids especially given the fact that all of them grew up here, have gone to school here and consider America their home.

Ceferino is one of those studetns fighting to come home. He was an active member of his school and community in Lexington. He wants to continue to pursue higher education and give back to the community he belonged to. Ceferino needs Rep. Lofgren's help to come home. Will she, the member, help?"

Optional Talking Points:

- Ceferino left the U.S. when his family could not afford to pay $21,000 for ear surgery for him;

The Petition

To President Obama, ICE Director John Morton and DHS Director Janet Napolitano:

I am writing to call to bring Ceferino back to his family in Kentucky.

He was active in school activities, running for the school's cross country team and being honored as one of the program's top student-athletes in 2010.

Ceferino came to the U.S. from Mexico at age 13 and became an active member of the Lexington community and school system. He volunteered with a local artist to complete a mural at a middle school and he received multiple awards in school, including a prestigious award from the ESL department given to students whose excellence in learning English qualifies them to take regular classes without ESL assistance.

It was determined Ceferino needed ear surgery that would cost $21,000. His family did not have anywhere near enough money and he was forced to return to Mexico. He wants to return to the U.S. to further his education and give back to the Lexington community.

He tried to come back to the U.S. last month, but was caught. He deserves the chance to continue the life he built for himself in the U.S. and specifically in Lexington.

I urge you to immediately allow Ceferino to return to Phoenix based on humanitarian relief!
