DREAMer Detained For Over 5 Months, Away From Pregnant Fiancee!
Marcial has been detained at Broward Transitional Center for over 5 months, even though he is DREAM Act eligible. Marcial's fiancee is 6 months pregnant and is currently on bed rest because of the stress caused by Marcial's detention. She needs him home!
President Obama said that, as of June 15, DREAMers will no longer be detained and deported. If this is true, why is Marcial still in detention? Tax payers have already spent over $26,000 keeping him detained. Why?

I am writing to call for the immediate release of DREAM Act youth Marcial Bautista-Paz (A# 205-201-306) from Broward Transitional Center and urge you to immediately stop his deportation.
On February 16, Marcial was spending the day with his fiancée, who is 6 months pregnant, at the neighborhood park when 3 police officers came up to them for no reason. The officers told them to get out of their car and started asking for their names. They were holding their guns in their hands trying to intimidate both Marcial and his fiancée and, out of panic; Marcial gave them a false name. President Obama has said that, as of June 15, DREAMers would no longer be deported. Why is DREAMer Marcial still detained at Broward Transitional Center?
Marcial was brought to the United States when he was only 9 years old. Now 25, he attended school, but unfortunately, was unable to receive his high school diploma. Marcial values his education and had registered to obtain his GED a week before he was detained with the dream of one day enlisting in the armed forces. Marcial’s fiancée is 6 months pregnant. She has been in and out of the hospital and is currently on bed rest as a result of all the stress caused by Marcial’s detention. The doctor has told her it is unlikely she’ll make it to 9 months. She needs Marcial desperately as she cannot work and needs his emotional and financial support.
For each day Marcial is detained, tax-payers are spending $166 for his detention. Marcial has been detained since February for no reason at all and now tax-payers have spent over $26,000 keeping Marcial in detention. According to the June 15 memo issued by DHS, Marcial should be released from detention immediately and granted deferred action as he is DREAM Act eligible. Marcial has no family in Mexico and has no criminal record. His 6 month pregnant fiancée is on bed rest over his detention and needs him home.
I urge you to release Marcial Bautista-Paz (A# 205-201-306) from Broward Transitional Center and stop his deportation.
