To Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, John Morton; and Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano:

I am writing to call for the immediate release of Bismarck Jacob Mejia (A# 096-425-939) from Broward Transitional Center in Florida and urge you to immediately stop his deportation.

Bismarck Mejia came to the United States in 2000 and settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is married to a U.S. citizen and is a business owner in Philadelphia who contributes to the economy of this country. Bismarck has a business that relies on him for his success, as well as kids and a family that needs his support.

Bismarck shouldn’t be deported because his case has been approved and is only waiting for his fingerprints. Keeping Bismarck detained makes no sense and is only a waste of tax-payer money. Bismarck’s detention has taken a toll on his U.S. citizen wife and family, who are desperate to have him back home.

According to the memo issued by John Morton, Bismarck is a low-priority case and should be granted favorable exercise of prosecutorial discretion. Bismarck has no criminal history and he has proven to have good moral character. Please let Bismarck free so he can be reunited with his family.

I urge you to release Bismarck Jacob Mejia (A#096-425-939) from Broward Transitional Center in Florida and ask that you take immediate action to stop his deportation.
